A Time Management Workshop
I. PURPOSE
- Increase individual and team productivity
- Reduce time-related stress
- Understand time as a factor in relationships
- Create opportunity for being radically present
II. EXPECTED OUTCOMES
Participants will learn to
- Choose, commit and act accountably as an approach
to time management
- Increase the productivity of individual and group time
management
- Identify personal barriers to the productive use of time
- Analyze the use of time in managing work relationships
- Create an action plan to address known development needs
for time management
- Identify online tools to organize, prioritize events
and provide structure
III. PHILOSOPHY
Nobody manages time. All one can manage is activity
within time.
In this one day class, the TimeWise™ approach
is about intentionality, consciousness and accountability regarding one’s
activities within time. Really all there is to it is: Choose, Commit,
and Act Accountably. This workshop creates an approach to time management,
develops skills for pursuing that approach, and identifies tools for supporting
the pursuit.

- Time Challenges - identifying organizational
and personal barriers to successful time management
- A Brief Philosophy of Time
- The Big “To Do” List - identifying
the endless possibilities, selecting and prioritizing based on values,
urgency, frequency and restraints
- Time and Type - an insight from Myers-Briggs
- Estimating Time
- Saying “No” – boundaries as
a factor in time management
- Finding Time… and other resources
- Accountability – ownership, responsibility,
and keeping your word with yourself and others
- Negotiating for Time – an aspect of relationship
and respecting others
- Time Tools – identifying and selecting
a time management infrastructure for yourself and your team (TimeWise™
defaults to Microsoft Outlook Calendar and Tasks as the tools used,
unless otherwise requested)
